Breakthrough! How Expert Golfers Create More Power and Increase Swing Efficiency, Every Time!

The most efficient golf swing is not the same for every golfer, because swing efficiency is unique to how you move your body. A TPI assessment will help you to create the most effective way for you to swing a club-while reducing your risk of developing an injury or playing in pain.

What Is A TPI Assessment?

TPI is the world’s leading organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in golf.

For the last 20 years TPI has studied thousands of golfers, ranging from the top professional Tour players to weekend enthusiasts. In this time they have gathered an incredible amount of data on players of all shapes, sizes, ages, and fitness levels. Using this data, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible.

As a life-long golf enthusiast and registered Osteopath, I am Mangawhai’s only certified TPI assessment provider. When I conduct a TPI assessment with you, I will show you exactly how your physical capabilities are affecting your golf swing and exactly how you can make your swing more efficient. This will give you greater power off the tee and increased driving accuracy, while reducing your risk of golfing injury.

Develop Greater Power

When you jump which way do you move first? Yes, in the opposite direction. You are coiling up the spring ready to release that kinetic energy. The same principle apply to golf. I will show you how to sequence your golf swing to make sure all the body parts are moving in the right direction. Once your bio-mechanics are right, you can expect a few more metres carry (or more)!

Reduce Injury Risk

The golf swing is a dynamic action with lots of moving parts. You need all those parts to work together in a synchronous way. If even one area of the body is not moving optimally you will be at an increased risk of injury. This can either happen by forcing that part to move more or through compensations in other areas elsewhere that have to take place, something will have to give, ouch!

Hello! I’m Ben.

My passion is to achieve optimal health via manual therapy and exercise. I have a special interest in bio-mechanics. This comes from a love of sports – mainly golf and football.

I was born in Vienna, Austria and moved to Mangawhai where I have lived for most of my life. I attended Mangawhai Beach School and Rodney College, where I developed a passion for the sciences. I went on to study Osteopathy at Unitec, Auckland. After 5 years of intense study, I came away with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Biology and a Masters in Osteopathy.

My love of golf has presented me with the opportunity to also work as a caddie on one of NZ’s most prestigious golf clubs, Tara Iti, in nearby Te Arai. This has further driven me to see how manual therapy and manipulation can maximise a player’s game and be applied across other sports.

I am Titlest Performance Institute (T.P.I.) Level 1 Certified.

One of the great things the TPI team have achieved is developing a physical screen that can be recorded on an app to highlight where your personal limitations that may be negatively affecting your game lie. With that information we can then dig deeper and see what is causing those physical limitations/restrictions and work through them with manual therapy and exercise.

"My UK coach was so impressed."

“I did a TPI assessment at PGA National last year. It basically pointed out that the swing I was trying so hard to achieve was actually impossible for me due to inflexibility in the hips. Since they gave me the workout routine I haven’t looked back, at long last I can hit with my Right Side. My UK coach was so impressed he booked himself onto one of the TPI seminars.”

"The best money I have ever spent on golf"

“The best money I have ever spent on golf…my TPI assessment…it is amazing.”

"The report at the end was incredibly detailed."

I had the TPI assessment done because I was interested in knowing which parts of my body were holding me back. Rather than assuming it was a whole-body tightness, I wished to find out which parts I should work on.

It was very specific, scientific and the report at the end was incredibly detailed. I refer back to the report regularly and will for sure get another assessment to see if I’ve improved. I know if I do the homework, my golf is heaps better, I don’t feel as sore and I enjoy it more.
