My Rehab Class: What we learnt this week.

When you wish to learn a new skill, you don’t practice THAT skill to learn it!!!

If you’d like to do a better squat for gardening, to achieve a smoother stride for walking, or be able to get on and off the floor to the grandchildren without feeling old, then train for it.

Your joints will move well if you look after them. Your body will feel good if you feed it (with smart mobility).  You will get more flexibility ONLY if your muscles relax to allow that.

HOW?

Get strong.  Practice daily.  Move, then massage into the muscles and then get the body ready BEFORE you do your exercise.

This week’s idea:

Broom handle, pull it apart (well, imagine!) and get your upper back working.  Move from this place in all your do that requires you to use your body well.
